A Promise Kept

December 31, 2018. The last day of the year- and this is my last nugget on my faith for the year of 2018. I would like for it to be about "Our Sure God." Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
David could have said it in another way but he chose to say, "Surely." He could have said, "Maybe" but he didn't. Because he had enough faith to KNOW that God would give Him an eternal home. He could have said, "possibly goodness and mercy will follow me." But he didn't. He believed in a 'Sure God' who made Sure Promises. His promise is a promise kept.

We may break a promise, but God will never break His promise to us. We may falter on our faith, but he is always faithful. We may change our mood and go through behavior changes-but not God. He is the same today and tomorrow as He was yesterday...
Will I make New Year Resolutions? Nope! Why should I make a promise I probably won't keep past tomorrow. I will seek God's advice for everything.
My devotion may falter but My God will never forsake me.
I serve a loving God and that is good enough for me. And I know His goodness and mercy will always follow me.
Look forward to the New Year with hope and courage and put your faith and trust in a God who gives you a sure foundation....
God's Blessings;
Mary Frances King
