Hello Faith, Meet Grace...

Faith and Grace are such beautiful words. No wonder they are favorite names to give a new baby girl.  Faith will get you through about any situation. However, faith is not something you can buy, borrow, or steal... Neither can you barter for it. It is not earned through a certificate of higher learning and we do not win it as a prized blue ribbon at the County Fair.  Grandpa and grandma cannot bequeath it to you in their last will and testament. We cannot purchase it at the General Dollar store for a few pennies. Neither does Wal-Mart have it displayed on any of their shelves.
Faith introduces us to grace. It is the supreme force in salvation that leads us to God and His redeeming feature. Paul wrote—“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith---and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God ---not by works, so that no one can boast.” Eph. 2:8-9
Faith knows that God is there to take our trembling hands when we cannot find the power to face our problems ourselves. He is there to shine the light on our dark pathway when we have lost the way. It is through faith that we backed-up-in-a-corner believers wait on the Lord, knowing He will answer our call in due time.
It was through faith Naaman went down to dip himself into the river seven times as he had been directed to do. Faith eventually got Moses to the mountain top. One glimpse of the King and we are consumed by a desire to know more about Him. He is Lord of the universe! He has been the center of attention for every Christian person since the beginning of time.

To follow God we must equip ourselves with faith to fight the battle of sin with nothing but the Word of God, bended knees, and the memory of a resurrected carpenter... That is how we meet Grace.
Grace teaches us to not live against God by doing sinful things the world is calling us to do. Instead, we live in a way that shows the world we love and serve, a loving God.
It’s a wonderful day indeed when Faith introduces us to God’s gift of Grace. It's through these two acquaintances  Faith and Grace,  that we are led to the “Throne of God” and His perfect peace.
That is the way I see it...

Have a great day in the Lord,
Mary Frances King
